Workshop 6 - Poppy sweets

Got a bit of a cough? Thanks to poppies, you can treat it yourself!


Equipment
- A terrine
- A saucepan
- A pastry board/baking sheet
- A small handful of poppy petals
- ¼ litre water
- 250 grams sugar
Preparation
1. Put the petals in a terrine with 1/2 litre boiling water. Let infuse.
2. Put the sugar in a saucepan with a glass of water. Bring this mixture to a boil until it forms syrup.
3. Add the infused water. Continue cooking to obtain candy paste.
4. Pour large drops of candy paste onto a greased pastry board (or baking sheet).
5. The sweets are now ready.
